Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Moshi

Airport pickup, transfer to hotel, pre-climb briefing, gear check. Driving/trekking time: ~1 hr. Accommodation: Tulia Spa & Boutique Hotel (or similar).

Day 2

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m)

Driving/trekking time: 3–4 hrs. Accommodation: Mti Mkubwa Camp (tents).

Day 3

Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp (3,610m)

Accommodation: Shira 1 Camp (tents).

Day 4

Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)

Accommodation: Shira 2 Camp (tents).

Day 5

Lava Tower (4,630m) to Moir Hut (4,200m)

Accommodation: Moir Hut (tents).

Day 6

Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp (4,020m)

Accommodation: Buffalo Camp (tents).

Day 7

Buffalo Camp to Third Cave (3,870m)

Accommodation: Third Cave Camp (tents).

Day 8

Third Cave to School Hut (4,750m)

Accommodation: School Hut (tents).

Day 9

Summit Day: School Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Day 10

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,640m) to Departure
