Why we use this property
Mara Mara Tented Lodge stands in the Kogatende area of the northern Serengeti, close to the Mara River and in the path of the migration from about June to November. It is run by Tanganyika Wilderness Camps and is split into a north and a south camp, each with its own main house of lounges, a restaurant, a viewing deck and a swimming pool. There are 20 tents and four bungalows, including family units of two connected rooms. The tents stand on raised wooden platforms with a private terrace over the savanna, a king-size or two single beds, and a bathroom with a bathtub and an outdoor shower. A campfire is lit every evening, dinner is served under the stars when the weather allows, and the Kogatende airstrip is about 20 km away.
