Visa rules change by nationality and routing. Use this guide as a starting point—after deposit we send a checklist tailored to your passport and flight path.

  1. 1

    Check eligibility

Confirm whether your nationality can apply online via the official Tanzanian e-visa system or requires an embassy visa. Passport validity should cover your full stay plus buffer months.

  2. 2

    Apply online (e-visa)

Complete the e-visa application with passport scan, itinerary summary, and payment. Keep the approval PDF accessible on your phone and a printed copy for immigration.

  3. 3

    Yellow fever & health

Yellow fever vaccination may be required if you arrive from or transit certain countries. Discuss malaria prophylaxis with your physician—we send health reminders with your booking pack.

  4. 4

    Arrival at JRO or Dar

Present passport, visa approval, and return ticket if requested. Our meet-and-greet team at Kilimanjaro International (JRO) assists most northern-circuit guests on arrival day.

Need help with paperwork?

Our Arusha team coordinates permits and park fees once you book—we do not file visas on your behalf, but we answer routing questions daily.
