Why we use this property
Rufiji River Camp is the upper-mid option on our 4-Day Nyerere Safari with Boat Safari. Run by the Fox family’s Foxes Safari Camps, it was one of the first camps established in the park, and it sits on a bank of the Rufiji River. There are eleven double tents under thatched roofs, with wooden floors, en-suite bathrooms and large terraces facing the river, and three family suites, each with two tents on a shared deck and a private plunge pool. A shaded pool, and a restaurant and bar overlooking the river, make the middle of the day easy. Game drives, guided walks, boat safaris and overnight fly camping can all be arranged, which suits a trip built around both land and water. It is also the Nyerere base of our 7-Day Nyerere and Ruaha Fly-In Safari and our 10-Day Nyerere, Ruaha and Zanzibar Safari. Tent category and rates are confirmed on your quote.
