Why we use this property
Serena Mivumo River Lodge is one of the luxury upgrades on our 4-Day Nyerere Safari with Boat Safari, set along the banks of the Rufiji River with views over Stiegler’s Gorge. It is small: twelve timbered, thatched chalets spaced through the riverine forest for privacy, including a presidential suite, each air-conditioned with its own sun deck, plunge pool and an outdoor shower. The style is a deliberate Edwardian elegance, with high ceilings and wide picture windows. Boat safaris on the Rufiji alternate with game drives, and being able to switch between the two is much of the appeal of this corner of the park. It lies well to the west of the Mtemere gate area, so moving the road itinerary here changes the transfers; we confirm the route and any supplement on your quote.
